Improving menstrual health in rural India
Community Connection
I was born and brought up in the town of Godhra, where my initiative will be based. Over the years, I have been involved in various social impact initiatives in the area. In 2015, I interned with ANANDI, a rural women’s empowerment organization, which allowed me to gain a deep understanding of and keen interest in women’s health. It also helped me develop a strong network of local community leaders, one of whom I will be partnering with during the fellowship. I hope that this partnership enhances the impact and sustainability of my initiative.
What do you hope to achieve?
Through the Pathy Foundation Fellowship, I hope to create a sustainable social enterprise, producing biodegradable menstrual hygiene products, that will support the empowerment of my community in rural India. I am also looking forward to growing as a person, as a community member, and as a leader. I can’t wait to gain field experience, learn practical skills, and benefit my community in the upcoming year.
